Daddo and the scientific community

It has happened across the years that Daddo came in contact with the Scientific Community.

His empathic approach with people, which is probably more about his personality than anything else , and his skills as illustrator together let him to understand, interpret the need of this specific kind of clients. Time by time he helped Scientists to have more recognizable images helping them to develop logo for organizations or studies. Other times he developed specific illustrations to better explain concept in articles or presentations.

Sustainable Health, is organizing a Summer School: Working towards a new, better normal after COVID-19.

Where does COVID-19 come from and was it avoidable in the first place? What are its connections with the Black Lives Matter movement, and why do minority groups experience worse outcome after infection? What has been the role of health systems in coping with the pandemic?

After answering all these questions, we will discuss potential answers to the most important one: what should the ‘new, better, normal’ after COVID-19 look like?

the brain study

he BRAIN study is working with retired rugby players to find out if there are associations between a history of concussion and neurodegenerative disease.

The research is gathering data on the retired players’ quality of life and social circumstances, with an extensive set of tests capturing physical and cognitive capabilities – including grip strength, memory and reasoning – and a neurological clinical examination to look for signs of disease.

Daddo was asked to cast an create a Logo linking the Regby world and the brain.

ARPEC

This project is a birth cohort study, is organized by a research circle composed by researchers from Peruvian and UK Institutions: Instituto Nacional de Salud del Niño (INSN), the Universidad Nacional de San Cristobal de Huamanga (UNSCH), the Universidad Nacional Intercultural de la Amazonia (UNIA) and the Queen Mary University of London (QMUL).
Daddo was asked to develop the logo. He was asked to create an image able to immediately cast the flavor of Peru: its variety of landscapes, cultures, ethnicity and diversity in food’s traditions.

The Principal Investigator Study asked Daddo to make two flyers in order to communicate to children and teenagers to chances to participate to the study. Aim of the study was to validate COVID speed test on saliva. To Daddo was given the full storyboards for both pages.
